First tornado warning of the year, that’s what signals spring in Kansas

One good thing about needing to be outside with my dog because the back door won’t open and the fence is in poor enough shape that it really only serves as a visual barrier for him, is that I pick up after him every time, so no thawing dog droppings in this dog owner’s yard :)

Two baby rabbits. They're very late this year- previous years, I've seen them happily wandering around in a February blizzard.

In the last few days, my first bee of the year and first butterfly. The bee was a huge bumblebee- probably a queen who's just emerged from hibernation and is starting a new colony.

Sudden outbreak of ducklings- at least two families at once. Three baby rabbits in the tiny garden behind the supermarket- they hide between the daffodils.
