We're getting about 3-5 inches of snow in Queens (less in Manhattan).

Boston might get 2 feet; they'll get at least one foot.

Three Nor'easters in two weeks!

Ironically, I believe all this snow will aid in assuring a luxuriant spring.

Crocus. Plum tree blossoms. Flocks of geese. Extra daylight. Wuzzles emerging from their burrows.

Light? Last night I didn’t leave our fire on the beach until ~3am or so. 8)

I heard 18 on the radio, so 65. It was well above freezing at night (and has been for a while) and we had a VERY hot fire going with several logs over 100lbs a piece, maybe 200. It threw some serious heat & attracted a handful of regulars as well as a couple of Syrian university students who came for the warmth and stayed for a laugh.

I can't remember the last time I've been able to be in front of a roaring fire on the beach, if ever.

Shame, really. In the last couple weeks I’ve been at a beach fire more nights than not - almost every night.

Technically not allowed.. but we’re sneaky like ninjas. :D

Also, last night I did something I’ve never done before.. a friend and I picked up a ~10’ long burning log each and carried them ~1/2 a mile down the beach to add to our fire. I’ve never transported fire like that before to get it burning in another location. It was fun! 8)

Lol and? :?

Exercise is a thing I do. Hell, it’s ~480 stairs down to the beach & then back up again later. I’ve done the stairs 3x in a day before. (going up to Sherpa beer back down.) I do at least my 111 push ups every day, too. Sometimes some squats/stretches, plus whatever work I’m doing that day etc. Everything is exercise - it’s good for ya, makes ya stronger. 8)

I think when I was your age I mighta been able to handle that for a shorter distance. it would have been better had they been half the weight but one on either side, for balance.
