I can't say I hate them----because, they DO provide resources----but it makes me VERY angry that they spend so little on actual research, and WAAAAAY more on obscene salaries, and so-forth (I've read their expenditures); PLUS, last-I-knew, they don't even have anybody WITH Autism, on their BOARD.

Also, if they want to promote a cure, they should qualify EACH AND EVERY statement with, something like, "If that's what YOU want".

The problem IS----and, it's understandable----most people who go looking for help, are PARENTS; and they, in their desperation / fear, can get a little carried-away----not only by their OWN emotions, but also by someone PLAYING on their emotions; and THAT'S why, I feel, that AS has become the "monster", that it IS.

I made a thread similar to this awhile back and then passionately defended the group. But to be honest though I think I am one of the few people on this forum who have a positive view of the organization. People like me I think are in a minority.
