Another question about my cat

I started this thread last night about my cat, Flo. I wasn't sure whether I should start a new one or not because this is a bit different.
Her eyes are really watery now, more so than usual. Does this mean she might be ill? She seemed really agitated last night as well, she wasn't sleeping properly. She seems OK now but she was crying downstairs before. I went down to see if she wanted a door opening but all the doors were open and she had food and water.
I think I might just be paranoid. Her sister (of the same age) died in January. She had to be put down because she had caner
So I've been a bit over protective of her since, I think.
Does this mean she might be ill though?
She doesn't go out much, she just sleeps a lot really and she seems happy enough. Does she sound like she might be ill or something?
(Sorry if I should have put this in the other thread instead of starting a new one. That one was about if she was confused though, I didn't think she was ill then)
I hope she is OK, she's been my best friend since I was 8, I don't want her to be poorly or sad.

All good cat owners are protective of their pets. If you are concerned, get her to the vet for a checkup. I hope your kitty will be okay.

Do you get her vaccinated against cat flu? That's the only thing I can think of that would cause watery eyes. Unless she has a bit of hayfever? It's possible! A lot of humans in England (including moi)have it at the moment!

I'd watch her...get her checked if you see that she's acting different, or for your own peace of mind if need be.

Zelda is going to the vet this afternoon...she's been sick since early yesterday. We found out she was positive for feline leukemia after we adopted her last August...they called in Dec. after they tested her... before she was spayed... and asked if I wanted her put to sleep then...I said don't you DARE!

I am scared...she's not even a year old...she's been mine and my son's source of sanity since his dad left. I know her time here won't be the same as if she were a healthy furbaby...but hoping she fights this off for now whatever it is...

I just asked my mum. She said she seems fine and that she has been vaccinated against flu. It probably is because she's older now, she'll be 11 this year.
Her sister who died in January had to be put down on the day I had an exam and I have exams again now starting on Friday, so I might just be worrying about her more now because of that. She seems happy now though, she's sleeping on my bed.

Sounds like she might have conjunctivitis (pink eye)... take her to the vet. That's something that can be cleared up easily.

Her eye seems better now. She was wet when she came in before from rain in the garden. So it might just have been that and I panicked. If she seems ill though I will take her to the vets.
She's happy now though, sleeping next to me and smiling at me when I talk to her.

If she seems happy enough, I wouldn't worry.

My cat Molly is 17. She recently went deaf, and then went blind shortly afterwards, but she's still eating and eager to get attention, so she's okay for now.

In my house, you know the cat's okay when you feel four sets of claws in your leg.

She recently got hit by a car, but she's back to being a looney.

Does your cat groom you?

My cat(s) love to groom me, the females more than the males.

Flo used to do that as a kitten, but not so much now that she's got older.

Good to hear your cat seems to be doing better. Maybe it is an eye allergy. My Siamese girl, Samantha, had an eye allergy and was in very good health otherwise. She lived to be 20.

That's nice to know that Samantha was healthy, Flo appears to be healthy too. I hope she lives long, as long as she remains healthy. I don't know how I will cope without her.

I would take her to the vet...but maybe that's because I get easily concerned...but...hmmm...still...if my cats showed any kind of behavior or symptoms that seem unusual I think I would take them to the doctor...

My cats like to groom me while I am asleep...they lick my eyebrows...and I can't tell which one because I was sleeping...
I don't want to think of my cats getting ill... I'm thinking of getting an insurance for them...
