i almost never saw any, no.

never went to school on the yellow buses, but we used the larger ones for track and field meets in high school.

Yes up until age 8.

I never took any school bus to school, I always walked.

A special needs school bus is often identified as the "small bus" or as others derogatorily refer to as the "tard cart". Because I never went to school in my district, I took this bus to school all the way up to graduation.
