I've been off the road for a while but now have a car of my own, on the road and no problems with it. I'm so free but I'd forgotten how many stupid drivers' there are on the roads. Braking before indicating, or not indicating all together, or taking too long to move on a green light so that you don't have time to make it through the lights yourself. Then there are those slow and stupidly cautious drivers who spit stones on your windscreen from the far left of their lane as you approach to overtake their slow arse. But then I was thinking: "I am regarding these drivers as stupid people but really it just that they drive in a stupid fashion. Maybe they weren't brought up with racing car drivers and motorcycle riders, and mechanics so aren't aware of how their driving skills would be considered unacceptable amongst my own kind. I suppose it's the institution, though. I mean we had campaigning for this 'Wipe Off 5' initiative which sought to reduce accidents but there became this flood of drivers doing 95, or even 90 (after the suggestion that everyone wipe off an additional 5km), on the roads it was ridiculous. If times weren't so harsh with legalities such people (along with moronic cyclists using the roads) wouldn't survive very long because someone would inevitably overtake them in a dangerous situation and would be involved in a head and side on collision... Methinks.
