no that's completely wrong

life has your heartbeat in the background

Life has your breath in the background

you guys can't hear it
because you want everything to be in the foreground!

It does for me.

Every time I am not thinking about words and thinking in images as I naturally do outside of social situations I have a song playing in my head, kind of like a song being stuck in my head but I can change it any time and something is playing the vast majority of the time. It's like a built in iPod and I don't even need to buy the music because my music library already consists of every song I have ever heard. The music always plays in nearly perfect detail, percussion and all. It's sort of on the verge of being heard to the extent that I have dismissed real (but quiet) sounds as imaginary before and I have occasionally thought that some imaginary sounds were real.

I don't know how unusual this is, but it's definitely interesting and I love music so I'm not complaining.

By the way, the song playing right now is Story of my Life by One Direction and when I started writing this post it was On My Mind by Ellie Goulding. I think that next I will play Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay.

You can have your own music in mind, anywere anytime. I hum a lot even outside and give no s**t what others might think. It's lower stress. You can make up whatever melody or rhythm. Life is what you make of it.

I also hum when I'm out and about. I don't care if people can hear me.

...I often like old " Early Sound " movies , which tend to not have backround music on them all over the place , as became the custom in later mainstream flicks .

I always have some music of some sort going through my head. I wonder what it's like for the people in films and TV shows, who can't hear the background music that we can hear. I wonder what dramatic scenes would be like if you took the background music away X) And I also wonder what went through our heads before music was even invented...

NewTime, are you asking us about music?

I don't think so

I think you are asking about the joyless of existence and the the absence of a sense of purpose

This is a philosophical dilemma that has been argued over by all the philosophers for millenia

NewTime I think you are an old soul and a new philosopher

like me

don't think your alone

your not the only one that struggles in this way

answers don't answer your questions because they are the end
questions are the beginning

Mine does. It goes: Boot she boot she boot she humm dumm de dumm dumm boot she boot she brap bap bumm dumm humm de dumm dumm...

Sometimes it is a howling in agonizing pain sound that seems to be coming out of me.

Sometimes I let the birds just do a bird-solo.

If you want it, make it.
