It is VERY hot where I am today, and it isn't even June yet. And it had me thinking....

What would you do if you held a cookout during this time of year? Personally, I'd serve hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, some beer (but not for me, and it's optional whether I'd bring it!), and maybe some fried chicken.

We'd also play softball, play catch, or even volleyball. What more could I ask for? :D

I usually have my first BBQ meal of the season at my parent's house on Father's Day. Mother's Day if the weather is exceptionally good. They usually broil the REALLY good stuff, like steak or chicken. My dad prefers lobster on Father's Day but we usually have a surf-and-turf thing going on. We usually also have salad, corn on the cob or grilled vegetables with it.

Unless the weather warms up really fast I don't think we're going to BBQ on Mother's Day this year. :(
