I feel like being afraid of anything that can go wrong will just ruin my life. So I've decided to focus more on the good things and think happy thoughts often. And it's making me feel better a lot. Do you guys have any peaceful states of mind at times, too?

yeah...when I'm all alone I put on a song (Mr.Roboto is a common one so I can act out the dances) and sing as loud as I can
it makes me so happy to do that :D

A good song to remind you to be happy is: Always look on the Bright Side of Life.

Excuse the crucifiction type scene as the song was first from Life of Brian. Which was a Monty Python movie.

I love The Flaming Lips whose lyrics aim straight for the troubling issues of life (and many aspie relevant) but in an uplifting way and great melodies.

And I sing - awfully!

"So I've decided to focus more on the good things and think happy thoughts often. And it's making me feel better a lot"

I did exactly that for a while. Then I invested in hope and that didn't work out too well. My strong optimism crumpled.
I can't listen to cheerful music when I'm unhappy. If this makes sense, I feel like I can't relate to the cheerfulness of the song, I can't feel it at all. I turn to blues and other sad music. Any good sad song. One of my favorites is the Yoko Kanno song Is It Real?

I'll experience a happy emotion, when my friend comes back from Maui. :D
