PETA -- that's People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals -- recently revealed that in 2006, they put to death more than 97 percent of the cats, dogs, and other animals they took in for adoption.

PETA supports the elimination of companion animals, and breed specific-euthanasia as well. A lot of people seem to support them without knowing much about their ideas, policies, and agendas. IMO, PETA is really a strange, extremist group that does not represent most animal lovers, or the best interest of animals.

Yes, PETA go way too far, but I find some - SOME - of their information helpful, like this:

lets not forget supporting ELF (Earth liberation Front), ALF (Animal Liberation Front), and various other ECO terrorists and "Vegan Power" groups financially. They're dispicable I'm surprised with the war on terror and all the US government hasn't shut them down atleast in the US.

Also Greenpeace.
One of its former founders is embarrassed about the monster he helped create.
