One thing that does NOT come from a foreign (to the USA) country is "German chocolate cake" which was invented in the 1930's by a guy in Oklahoma named "German", and was originally called "German's Chocolate cake".

Nothing to do with the fatherland in origin.

Thats pretty foreign! Green is not a common cake color in my experience.

FYI

"schwarzwalder" means "of the Black Forest" (the famous wild region of southwest Germany).

They all look delicious. Even the green one.
Black Forest cake like the one pictured above is one of my personal favorites. I've never seen it with spooky chocolate trees before. I should try making that with melted chocolate on waxed paper. :chef:
