We all know that it has a function, but in reality of average keyboarding how often can it make a paragraph illiterate to point of unable to guess between lines.
If you have needed to edit a post when finding an insert replacement section more than once in a while....

Can't recall if I have ever used the insert key even once in my life. Almost as useless as the Windows key.
