Canadian WP roll call!

Seeing as WP has a fairly significant Canadian userbase, I thought it would be fun to see which parts of Canada have the most active members, as well as how many Canadians here are living as expats in other countries. Just to keep things simple, if you're from Canada, or you're currently living here, then you're a Canadian.

Myself, I'm from Alberta, a.k.a. the "Texas of the north". Yeehaw! xD It's a silly description, but it makes sense since we have oil, beef, conservative politicians, cowboy hats, rattlesnakes, and even a bit of desert in the southern part of the province.

Well, I'm kind of a "Canadian at heart", because of my love, respect and admiration for you Canadians as a country.

But if I lived there, I'd be a British Columbian. (I am in Washington state, just for the record.)

I've never really been to Ontario, other than the Toronto airport for like one or two connecting flights. What's it like over there?

I live on Lake Ontario which looks large enough from the shore to be an ocean with the absence of any salt water smell of course. I also live on the Niagara Escarpment which has some really interesting geography and rock formations. Unfortunately much of the environment is blighted by pollution of the steel industry here.

There are plenty of cities and municipalities in close proximity to one another from here to Toronto, certainly not as dense population wise as other parts of the world, but relative to other parts of Canada it is. The weather here is usually bitterly cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. The frost pretty much is constantly destroying the roads here every year, so road reconstruction is in a never ending state.

I was born in Canada. I feel Canadian half of the time and the other half of the time, I feel German. I used to feel British, though that was more The Kinks and the Mod lifestyle than anything else. Once I grew out of that Mod mindset, that made-up British feeling dissipated. Once that feeling dissipated, I was feeling like myself again like I last did the beginning of the summer of 1984 when I was 9.

I am from British Columbia. I spent a few years in Saskatchewan as well.

Hello. I live in Ontario on both Lake Erie and Ontario since I have two houses. Lake Erie is definitely the warmest of the great lakes. Windsor is really warm, the second warmest place in Canada (Vancouver Island is number 1). But my fear of mayflies comes from Lake Erie, so I don't like that.
