I'm in Montreal, Canada and I leave the radio on all day. Only I had to to turn it off because I cannot find any channel in English that isn't all about Hillary and Trump. How can Americans stand this for two whole years?

You can try a classical music station.

Thank you but should I leave the computer on 24/7 when all I want is one radio station? I looked at that url but couldn't find anything. I don't want to set up an empire of listening pleasure from the global village, I just want one button and listening or just background stuff.

I've turned into my mother, she couldn't work a VCR. Jay Leno had a screamingly funny bit about it (back when his hair was black) - he's on the phone with his mother saying, "Press 3, Ma, press 3." And the audience was in hysterics because we've all done that.

And here I am, a later version of Leno's Ma.

I also have a boom box, but to get stations you have to spin a little wheel and it decides when it gets enough reception. Or do we not use words like that any more? Really, you have to spin it, like a slot machine or something. We used to have transistor radios, fit in your hand, turn the wheel slowly with your thumb, and the human decides, not the radio.

While I'm complaining - I really have tried very hard to keep up - I bought an iPod. Things kept disappearing from it. Eventually the cat took it forever.

Wow, look at my pity party! Sorry about that. Really.

Wait -- are you saying you don't leave your computer on 24/7?

There should be a "Play" button in the top left of the WQXR screen -- it's one click for me. Instant background.
