What cleaning products are better for you that is safe for you & your pet? I read about a product, but I don't know what to think. I wish I know this.

Hydrogen peroxide (like 3%)or baking soda. Hydrogen peroxide is a nice disinfectant and breaks down when exposed to light so keep it in a opaque spray bottle. Baking soda and some warm water can remove dirt from most surfaces. When you pour some of both down the drain at the same time followed by some boiling water, it can unclog drains. Just don't mix the two in the same bottle or the bottle might explode. Neither have any bad smell and that should be enough to clean most household hard surfaces.

Never mix bleach and say lysol, or it will form a poisonous chlorine gas. Just never mix bleach with anything. I avoid bleach anyway.

Rather use hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and maybe a very very tiny amount of tea tree oil like a few drops (another good disinfectant for hard surfaces). Tea tree oil smells but it certainly smells a lot nicer than bleach or lysol or other toxic crap.

Correction, baking soda and vinegar mixed together with some hot water can clear a clogged drain. Not baking soda and hydrogen pexoride. Hydrogen peroxide is still a nice disinfectant for cleaning in the kitchen.

Washing soda is also a good natural cleaner.

Vinegar and lemon juice (not together) make good cleaning agents.

So cleaning products they have in stores like 409, Lysol, Clorox are not good.

Many cleaning products contain chemicals which can be damaging to the health of yourself and your pets.
Natural ingredients often work just as well and are usually cheaper.
You could look around for natural products at health stores if you want something ready made.
