One day I will get a cat, but who knows when that might be? Regardless, I decided to think up good cat names, and I'm curious to see other people's suggestions.
Here's what I've got so far [there will likely be many obscure references, so if you want me to explain any of them, just ask]:

Totoro
Morwen
Mogget [I'm not too sure about this one... ]
Kuro
Kabegami
Katsuki [Shima]
Piro

Toe Toe comes to mind for some random reason, but I'd spell it differently, I am just getting the word across.

Morris

This is the quintessential cat name for anyone who grew up on American TV in the 1970s. There were countless cat food commercials featuring Morris.

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games.

You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

^All of the characters in the fantasy novels that I write have much more than three names [and even alternate names, depending on which species you are a part of].

First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey--
All of them sensible everyday names.

There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter--
But all of them sensible everyday names.

But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?

Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum-
Names that never belong to more than one cat.

One of my characters in my latest book has around fifteen names...but that's not counting the other names that people call her [she's a reincarnating shapeshifter and technically one of the only if not the only character in the entire book].

If the cat has green eyes, you can name it Sweet Pea. It works both for a boy or a girl. :P :P :D

But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover--
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
