Who here is going to Comic-Con International or just plain into comics and the popular arts? If you are nearly as excited as I am for this year's convention (or not) feel free to share your interest. Anything you are looking forward to seeing there? Are you cosplaying at all?

I'll start: I'm going on Thursday with three friends, and my dad is going too! As a group, at least three of us (maybe more) are cosplaying as characters from Bleach. I am making most of the costumes myself, with help from other friends. I am going as Rukia and my boyfriend, AJ, is going as Ichigo and his brother, Quinn, is going as Ichigo Hollow (the inverse of Ichigo) and my friend, Phil, might go as Chad or some other character. My dad will most likely not dress up. I am looking forward to seeing other cosplayers at the convention, especially the Sailor Scouts, and I want to see something about The Hobbit that they're supposed to be working on.

I can't afford to go to the San Diego one or the New York City one, but I am going to the one in my city in November. I'm so excited, I'll be wearing my TARDIS from Doctor Who dress. I'm mainly looking forward to seeing other Doctor Who cosplayers, as well as Star Wars, Star Trek, and Anime cosplayers :)

I think there was a comic-con in my city for the first time ever last year but by the time I really knew about it, it was over. They don't give information about such things around here. I don't know if there's going to be one this year, either.

I think where I live it's still considered very abnormal for adults to be dressing up like superheroes and buying comics or action figures, although there are a couple of stores now that sell "geek" stuff.

I went to Salt Lake Comic Con in 2015. Most of the time, I don't go to SLCC, it comes to me.
