Yop, future with suck. More countries rising into industrial level will lead to ressources getting lesser, and additional climate changes will cause damage to agrar sector. And around middle europe, every working person will be expected to feed 2 senior ones, additional to any children they will want to have.

But getting a depression about it now, wont change anything of that, so no reason to it.

And melting with machines, is the last thing I fear. Having 9 dioptries shortsightedness, makes you dream about bionic eyes. ^^

We already have prosthetics and implants that:

Regulate Seizures
Improve or Grant Hearing
Improve or Grant Vision
Medicine Distribution
Limb Replacement
Regulate Heart Function
Replace Heart Valves
And several other things

The merging of machine/tech and human biology is already well underway.

Try to imagine a Star Trek type future but not the borg or the Dominion war parts. Think of mankind working together to explore the galaxy & help other species with whatever problems they have.

The past and the present aren't satisfying enough for me to be too worried about the future. There's a lot of room for improvement. Whatever the future may bring, I can only hope that it will remind people of what really matters in life and enable them to be more fulfilled. As long as the earth remains in a decent state, there will be a strong potential for happiness. Happiness cannot only be achieved through successes and gains, sometimes failures and losses bring it about, if they help to bring people to some realization about their current state of being, and invoke the will to improve that state. Luxuries don't always equate to freedom, they often just imprison people in their comfort zone.

If the technology of the future follows the trend it's setting rite now it will be really buggy & glitchy & people will revert back to older forms. For example lots(including me) reverted back from Internet Explorer 10 to IE9 because the layout on 10 was hard to read & no matter how strict we set our security settings we would get popups on every page & nothing ever showed up on various anitvirus/antimalware/antiadware programs. The new Yahoo Mail s#x; themes are hard to read, the new design is more complicated & confusing & where I type replies is very frustrating, deleting messages especially in spam folder causes a error message to come up, & nothing happens when I right-click to view full email headers of any of my messages amongst other problems. The new Yahoo Mail for droid barely works too; the messages wouldn't load half the time & when they did & I tried to delete them the message was moved to the trash folder while I was still in it; I did some searching & found various older versions & the one I'm using now is 2.0.6(I don't remember the exact version number) instead of version 3point whatever. The last few updates to uTorrent & BitTorrent have some security holes & easier to be tracked. I hear the latest iPhone is worse than the last one too. The ObamaCare website has some problems as well & was down for awhile. If this rate of technology keeps up we'll be reading books for information & writing letters to people that get delivered by horse & buggy instead of cars. & then Lewis Black will quit ranting about technology
