When you buy a blanket or a comforter, do you need to wash it? I know you should wash new towels & clothes.

I've never heard of people washing new towels, clothes, or bedclothes. I thought they were ready to be used immediately.

You don't have to but lots including me do for sanitary reasons just incase someone else handled em or if there's chemicals on them.

Sometimes there are instructions to wash before use. Some flannel blankets I bought said to wash before use.
