It's not long until Christmas is happening again, and I am looking forward to it. Some good stuff has happened leading up, such as heaving a huge snowstorm and then having a Christmas party at my college, but I am anticipated for the big day, wondering what presents I will have under the tree :)

Anyone else excited? Let's all celebrate and have a good time.... 8)

I'm a bit less stoked on it this year as we've had a lot to deal with in terms of family members health and some drama etc so I have definitely slacked off on my usual holiday spirit and "perfect gift" buying and instead bought things that were more convenient to buy vs. time consuming hunt for perfect items. I'm sure they'll still be appreciated ok, though, and I am certainly looking forward to all the youngest kids opening their gifts as well as to annual Christmas visits, meals etc.

And I REALLY hope I get to see one of my closest friends on Christmas day this year - last year he was out of the country so I only saw the rest of his family. I only saw him for about 2mins all year, too, at random at a local bank one night. He's moved a short drive & ferry trip away onto a local island for most of the year. If I get to see him Christmas morning (along with his family, I stop by Christmas morning w/ gifts for all of them and a bottle of liqueur) it will totally make my Christmas complete! :D For those that know my posting history, he's the Herbalist & his father is the Naturopathic Doctor I've learned so much from and because of - and that's why I  & spoil them at Christmas time. They've touched & changed my life so profoundly for the better it's the least I can do. 8)

I had to decide who i'd want to stay over for christmas with... such as whether to stay with one parent and their partner with whom i have always had christmas dinner with but always bring up an annoying conversation like, "why don't you do something with your life?" or "it's so easy getting any sort of job around here, if you had one you could buy more or better presents", it's christmas I shouldn't be tolerating this behaviour from my parents.
The other decision would be my preferred which would be a long drive up to another parent and his partner, except they are the noisier lot, and are unaccepting of my condition but treat me the same as the other siblings. Of course my Dad, being the successful businessman of the family, who gets along more with my siblings, also questions if i have any luck of a job, and I always have that feeling of distrust from everyone on that side of the family. Don't think i have anyone in my family who truly respects me because I can't make my way in the world.

I'm very excited about Christmas as I always am. It's my most favourite time of the year. Almost everyone's a Sweet Pea in December. I also like the lights on the houses and looking at everyone's tree. I also enjoy buying presents for my friends and family. I love to listen to Christmas music of all kinds.

Good to see that others here are enjoying the spirit and are looking forward to Christmas, especially enjoying the music and the decorations, that is something I love as well, interesting stories as well....

I'm hoping Christmas will be okay, and I get the presents I asked for. Hoping to have a fresh new year as well, since I have had many problems related to anxiety/stress and worrying this year which has had a massive negative impact, and I am going to enjoy Christmas with my family and the ones I love since it is one of my fave holidays of the season. Here is hoping that everything goes well :)

Justified splurging on a couple of bottles of "Grand Marnier 100" (first released in 1927 to celebrate GM's centennial) as gifts for my father and my friend's father, the Naturopath, because I am definitely not going out to a NYE party this year and won't be spending $$ on a night out. My dad likes to make blueberry teas w/ gm & amaretto (but I hope he sips this one neat) and the good doctor only drinks super sweet sipping liqueurs. Also, with my dad's health we never know which Christmas could be his last, so, f**k it, he may as well enjoy some of the finer things in life while he can. 8)

It's Christmas! Been a really great day, I have gotten many presents that I love, including some I did not expect to get so they were nice surprises. I also got a load of sweets and snacks to keep me supplied, such a great day. Merry Christmas everyone :)
