There's a freaking tornado watch on right now for my area. I live in the northeast USA! We're not supposed to get tornadoes! There actually was a tornado last summer that touched down a few miles away from me. Anyone else in the tornado watch area now? I wonder if global warming is screwing with the weather or something, and that's why there's been so much extreme weather.

We get tornado warnings where I live a lot now. I'll be thinking about you! Hang in there and try to stay calm. :)

I live in central Arkansas so tornadoes are just a part of life for me. We're just used to them. Pretty much every year at least one town in the state gets trashed. This past February an F3 tornado missed my apartment by about half a mile and tore up the main commercial district of town.

Yeah... I remember that tornados are rare out there. I came from the Midwest, but I went to undergrad in Connecticut. When I got there and moved into the dorms, I was all confused because there were no instructions about what to do if there was a tornado. I asked, and people just looked at me like I was nuts.

We had a huge storm come through here last night, with some tornado warnings in the area. Nothing major, though. Just a ton of wind and rain. I guess it took down some trees.

I will be seeing a lot of those when I move to Wichita Falls in August.

Anything (within probability) can happen. We had a noticeable earthquake in the DC area, a couple years ago.
