Anyone here who still orders pizzas by phone?

I do. I was recently on hold for an hour trying to order a pizza. I hung up the phone. I'm thinking of trying to start ordering them online.

I order online but I've ordered by phone a couple times before we had the net after we moved. I ordered by phone a couple times sense when they site was down. I never had to wait a long time to order by phone but they tended to have a hard time hearing me because of background noise on their end or because of a bad phone connection. I find ordering online alot easier & it's cheaper because I can get special deals from the site that they don't have when ordering by phone or at the place.

My mum still orders pizzas, Chinese, kebabs etc. by phone. I don't think using the internet to order takeaways has ever crossed her mind even when she gets her weekly shop online.

I order very seldom though, I can count on one hand all the times I have ordered food by phone.

I always hated phone orders. With the internet there doesn't have to be the awkward interaction with a stressed out stranger, always with the possibility of being misheard over all the background noise...

does using the app on your phone count?

Sure, through the app... But I don't call in and talk with someone. I always do carry out specials if I do order out.

same here... regarding the carry out vs delivery it's a combination of not wanting to pay the delivery fee (though instead i am paying for gas and wear and tear on my car) and the feeling of being in control over when i get my food...

I never order pizza, I just go out and buy it since there are many pizza places close by. Which I haven't done in ages because it's too expensive. A couple of times I had Chinese food delivered to my door. But that's too expensive as well. About once a week my mom and I go out for lunch, and she has more money and a steady paycheck, so...

Last weekend when I went to my parents' house my mom ordered pizza and after we were done shopping at the mall and picked up on the way over. I'm pretty sure she ordered it on her cell phone.
