Got out of bed, fed my cats and dog, made a pot of tea.

I'm an overachiever and I know it.

I automated lots of boring text processing, like copy/pasting information from a webpage into word. Now i just copy paste everything into a program i wrote and it automatically regexpes stuff and sorts it into specific sections that i can just copy/paste into a incident report. 20 minutes of work now take a second.

I also started visualizing some customer data (incidents), will make the whole analysis thing much faster and i can see attacks that span the whole organization immediately and follow a pivoting intruder across enterprise network(s):

Yep, Aunt Blabby, on a snowy day, nonetheless.

And to all, if you achieved something today, pat yourself on the back. :D

I wanted to go for a walk but it was raining and then the ramp is too slippery to get down in my wheelchair or scooter.

Good for all you guys walking in less than ideal weather. I love the elements. Or at least I used to until I became a wimp living in a subtropical climate.

I did manage to complete one more of those stupid, beastly chores required for my work.

I love where I live now. I once reveled in snow and ice, and love the north woods. The NW is also beautiful in its misty way. But I love going barefoot all year long. :D

For my work, I have to subscribe and pay for the state vpn line. This must be the only system left in the US where recipients of the service must pay with paper checks with individual invoice numbers printed on it. Can't use electronic payments, credit cards or even banking online payments. This drives me nuts because I don't even buy stamps anymore.

The state is switching to a new web-based system with its own security so we will not need vpn anymore. And I have already paid for the first six months of the vpn system.

My required chore this month was to fill out several forms that are required because the state is changing the way they will bill for vpn.

If I don't complete the forms by 1/31/19, they will cut off my access to vpn on 2/1/19. Even though I've paid for it. Even though we may not need it past what I have already paid. 8O

I have to laugh cause they do this stuff to us all the time. Another example, also due by the end of the month: my annual monitoring score was 98.8%. I have to submit a remediation plan for the missing 1.2%. And it is a long form, which must be done on legal size paper, etc, etc. :D :D :D
