And I have no idea why people buy them... Maybe I'm just too skeptical about good in the world because I'm not a good person and a failure??

I found this website quora a few months ago and it's full of self help answers about success, personal development and this kind of stuff and I found most of that is BS and probably fake, although a lot of this seems to get a lot of attention and people believing in that.

Sometimes also the media shows some stories like this, like a CEO who got an mail from a 5yo old and changed his business or this kind of thing, and I don't believe it's real? Maybe a 5yo even send a letter, but it didn't got an answer because of it's valuable advice but because it was hugely marketable.

It's all annoying but I think it's even worst when they use children to boost this sentimentalist stuff

I hear ya.
And I wonder how fine the line is between motivational stories actually leaning toward the bogus, and me simply being resistant and rebellious.

I feel very similar. Not sure if I'm too close mind or they are just BS.
