When you was at school what were your favourite/worst subjects? Wht subjects did you do best at and what subjects did you struggle more at? I was trying to look for a thread about subjects at school but I was surprised when I couldn't find any, so I thought I'll create one. I'll like to see how other Aspies coped acedemically in what subjects.

The only subjects I got higher grades in was
English
Carpentry

The subjects I got very poor grades in was
Religeous education
Maths
PE
Science
Music

And the rest I just got in between grades like D's and E's. I never got higher than a B in any grades. Goes to show I'm not very clever for an Aspie.

Well, we don't have subjects like Carpentry or Needlework. But we have other, like Society Education (economy and politics) and Science is divided to Physics, Biology, Chemistry.

I was good in:
- Math (my best)
- Science
- English
- Polish (grammar)
- History (I didn't like it, but it liked me very much, because of numbers and maps)
- Society Education
- Art & Music
- Computers

I wasn't good in:
- Polish (literature)

I sucked in:
- PE

I like classes that have to do with history and culture, as well as language classes (learning languages, grammar, literature, etc.) Languages are my special interest. I am not very good at mathematics, though I don't fail the classes.

The only subjects I did well in were things that were practical.
My favorite & best subjects were
General Business
Business Math
Environmental Science

My Worst
English (as if u cant tell from my post)
Biology
Alegbra1
Civics
World Geography

I got A`s ih PE but that's because I always dressed out & had psychical disabilities & did what I could.
I did well with pre-Algebra in the beginning but as it got more advanced my grades slipped. It was like that for Practical Geometry to.
I did OK with American History but I had some bad grades in it.
Did OK with Religion at times but I was bad at times to (it was a Catholic high-school)
I suck at explaining things in discussion questions. I'm horrible at visual stuff(maybe related to my low-vision) like maps, diagrams ect. I also get terms & names confused(probably related to dyslexia). I'm also horrible at theories(like how to find a missing variable in algebra)

^^ Greetings everyone. I believe that I enjoyed many happy subjects:

Mathematics
Chemistry
Physics
English Language
English Literature (However I was not very skilled with English Language and English Literature I believe)
German
History

Poor happy subjects that I was not very skilled at taking part in:

Design and Technology (I believe this is very similar to wood work)
Art
Music
P.E. (Sport)
Textiles
Cooking (Also I required to design food packaging and other similar happy activities within these lessons)
Geography

My favorite subjects were the English related ones (English, Creative Writing, and Mysteries). Language Arts were my strong suit by far, though it had to be in English (I was not particularly skilled in Spanish and never tried the others, beyond a few months in both French and Latin, which were required in middle school).

My worst subjects were probably math and social studies. I didn't really have a talent for math, and I could do well at social studies, but I hated the classes.

Creative Writing is a class in which you hone your writing skills. You are required to write a lot. When I took that class during my Senior year in high school, I remember writing a bunch of poems and short stories. My teacher was actually the same teacher I had for a Pre-AP English class I took during my freshman year. I enjoyed the class. It was really fun.

Anyway, my favorite classes in high school were my English classes. I had so many fun teachers who made the subject matter interesting. I really miss some of those classes.

The classes in which I received the best grades were Social Studies. My teachers for those classes were practically in love with me because my grades were so good. In fact, I received perfect scores on various standardized Social Studies tests.

My least favorite classes were usually Math and Science. I really struggled to pass 9th grade Integrated Physics and Chemistry. I also strongly disliked 11th grade Chemistry, because I really didn't learn anything and my teacher was very below-par in his teaching methods. I also strugged a lot with my math classes.

Not all Aspies are experts in Math and Science, and I'm a prime example.

I wish we had it here too. I had a writing class in college but not in high school - all we wrote in high school were our compositions.

Ditto :( A popular stereotype is like that but I'm an expert in the field of social sciences and writing instead of maths - I'm an exact reverse of the stereotype.

I forgot all about adding languages. I thought there was something I had forgotten.

I lacked in languages at school. We did French and Spanish. In year 8 Spanish became my special interest, but I still wasn't good at it. Then the special interest faded away when I got to year 9.

It won't let me edit the voting thing now, but you can still add languages to the list, and also anything else I've missed :)

I wish I fit that stereotype. I s#ck with most academic stuff. The 3 classes I did well in were discussion based; I am an auditory leaner(is this common amongst Aspies?) but they were also practical for the real-wold; things I might use in everyday situations instead of stuff that only pertained to certain fields or college. It seems like I would be perfect for some kind of trade/vo-tech school but that's not rite for me because of psychical disabilities. I'm not great with computers either even thou I spend a lot of time on mine.
