I don't know if this is the right forum to post this, so my fault if I picked the wrong one.

Basically I met this woman on a dating site and we chatted back and forth for a few weeks. We then agreed to meet up, but she had a spur the moment idea of a change of plans. Basically instead of meeting in a public place, she suggested I come to her place to watch a movie and hang out. I agreed after thinking about it, which was a mistake.

So as we are talking and I am on the way there, I stopped to pick up some drinks for us. Then I went there, and found out she was into drugs and crystal meth and stuff like that. So I just made up an excuse after chatting for a bit, and tried to get out of there.

She locked the doors, and kept fought me to keep me from leaving to and kept screaming for someone specific to come and help her. I don't know who's name she was calling out, but maybe someone lived with her, or near her in another apartment, or maybe she was just bluffing and no one was there. So after having to fight her I left the drinks, which is what she was after, fought her off and left.

It's been a couple of days since and needed to regain my composure over the whole thing since I feel very shaken up and humiliated and hurt over it. So I am wondering if I should file a report. I probably do not have enough evidence of an assault that would stick to charges, but I was thinking maybe I should still file a report, that I was attacked and held against my will, locked in a place, by a crystal meth possessor/user.

What do you think I should do?

Well, I'm not exactly an authority on the law, but perhaps it would be the best idea to file a report. That is at least the decision I would make due to my personal sense of civic duty. The only reason not to would be if you think you could implicate yourself in the drug use by filing a report, but I sincerely doubt this would be the case. Of course, as I said, I'm not exactly an authority here, so I would wait perhaps for some others to leave their thoughts on the situation so you can get a varied perspective before you take any action.

Sorry this kind of crap had to happen to you by the way, must be one rough thing to experience.

Yeah I made a dumb decision.

But I feel that something should be done about it, even if it's just on the record, so there is a record and all, if that makes fair sense.

As for implicating myself, I don't see how, since I never knew about any drugs, or took any.

A dumb decision? Anyways, yea, I suppose implication was quite far-fetched, I was just trying to think of any possible downsides in my head, suppose there really aren't any good ones though.

yes you should report it if you think that will help resolve this, however, you should also be prepared to not have much if anything at all come from it. seems like you've made peace with that unfortunate probability already, but it can really still take a lot out of a person.

if formal channels can't do anything you could also look into ways within the dating site to send a warning about her.

but bottom line is she's an out of her mind meth addict and let say you report her and they follow up and she is arrested. it likely hasn't been the first time. what does that accomplish? this is just one of the few questions to consider. i hope you can find the best solution for you.

Yes, now that is a far more helpful perspective on the matter than mine. I think I'll leave this whole advice thing to others for the foreseeable future, as I seem to be playing the whole "talk smart while hiding the fact that you're an utter moron" game with myself again.

Don't bother or you will end up with nothing but problems from the legalese-system in the future.

Yeah if I were you. Call the police and tell them. And get her arrested. For using illegal drugs and locking the doors letting you not leave. Whatever they would call that.

Well it would be my word against hers, so I don't have enough evidence to arrest her. Even if nothing comes of it, I still feel I have to do it to get it off my chest, rather than being someone who doesn't do anything about it.
