anxiety and paranoia make other people appear disgusting. i'd say that it is your emotional state that makes people disgusting and it is a lot easier to overlook others apparent short comings when you're feeling good about yourself.

People aren't that disgusting. Some are, bust most are not.

Because just about everything that is intensely pleasurable is disgusting.

I worked as team physio for a rugby league club for 2 years.

They loved to blow their noses by holding 1 nostril shut. They'd lean forward and blow hard so the snot would land on the floor.

Lots of expectorating .... yuck!

I travelled with them - being stuck in close proximity on a plane ... talk about belching and farting.

Soccer players are much more civilised!

No, no. I'm pretty sure that roommate I had that one time that didn't bathe for days straight, who wreaked so bad it made me almost vomit to walk into my own room (I got the Hall Director to lemme move to a different room, btw) was the paragon of disgusting... And that had nothing to do with anxiety or paranoia.

Than, one may argue what is disgusting when one thing is to one person but not to the other.
However your statement is often most accurate. Humans are selfish by default.

I do that, but mostly to loosen the detritus before wiping it away, rather than to hit the floor....

While I'm ranting on about disgusting rugby league players let me mention .... they could not keep their hands off their groin.

Why do some blokes have to squeeze their groin every 5 seconds - is it to check that everything is still there?

I used to hate it when they'd be saying

My other complaint is that after the game they'd have a shower and put their towel around their waist. Then they'd sit up on the massage table for me to look at their injuries. Ummm when they'd bend up a knee you could see it all.

I got strict, my rule was 'No undies, 'no treatment'

Sometimes they do that to feel reassurance. Sometimes, they may be doing so to help holding their bladders. Any of them busting to go to the toilet?

It was non stop.

And I'm sure you don't blow your nose like that in public. And I hope you don't blow your nose like that in front of women ... a real turn off!

In fact, no squeezing your groin in front of women ... another real turn off!

Whenever my husband talks to me while squeezing his groin, I stand there squeezing my breast right back at him.
