Canned food does taste funny.
I buy canned coconut milk and canned fish, that's about it.
I prefer fresh food otherwise.

I like it because it's easy, and it's always the same.
When I eat canned soup I add some spices to it for flavour and it's ok.

I feel like general canned food is for incredibly poor people.

depends on the food type. amy's soups taste fine to me.

i also can food myself during the growing season for the winter. one of the various methods of preserving foodstuffs, and very important!
but i use glass jars not aluminum cans.

Canned meat is pretty fun.

I generally prefer my food not canned, though.

I don't like that it doesn't say when the use by or best before is. If it has been in the cupboard for a long time, it could be a few years old.

I buy everything in cans. Real food just rots in my fridge. Oh! I also buy frozen food.

I have a cousin who loved eating anything canned, processed, or unhealthy and would just laugh in your face if you didn't approve of it. He even once said he'd rather eat canned spaghetti and meatballs than the home-made kind!

Maybe he was just doing what we should all be doing now. Stocking up on non-perishable food supplies for when the planet is nuked. But what's the point when you don't have the money or resources to prep, and the world leaders see you as nothing but a burden on society, so you're going to die a horrible death from radiation sickness anyway?

Canned food in cans always tastes like cans and can-coating to me. Yuck.

I'm not sure I've ever had fresh tuna, so I can't compare it to canned. I keep a small stock of things like vegetables, chili, or soup.

To be honest I would rather eat canned soup than homemade soup. A a kid I hated homemade soup of any kind because it was watery, had no flavor and if there was leftover turkey meat in it there would be bones and soggy bits of skin which I found repulsive. But preferring canned spaghetti and meatballs over homemade? That's just crazy!

But I do use canned tomatoes and stuff whenever I make it, does that count? Or do I have to use only ingredients that are fresh and harvested only a few minutes ago? I'm not running a gourmet restaurant.

Canned food is a very practical option for single people who don't like to go shopping. A lot of Aspies fit this description. I like to eat canned sardines and tamales. I keep a stock of canned goods in case of an emergency or disaster situation.

I often enjoy hot canned spaghetti on toast.
