Gammers?

Hello everyone I'm here with a new topic for the "Random Discussion" section, & for anyone with disabilities or non disabled people (& no I'm not trying to spam or break the rules). I don't know if anyone on WrongPlanet has asked this or not (& again no I'm not trying to break the rules). But is anybody a gammer of any type? And if you are what type of gammer are you?


For anyone who wonders why I asked I just don't know who has an Nintendo switch with today's games out for everyone to play, or maybe someone with a PS4 waiting for the new Crash Bandicoot game to come out on 6/30/2017, or whatever games you prefer. What I'm getting to at is I just don't know if there's anyone who plays today's games or if there's people who play outdated games, all I have is a PS2 console with PS1 & PS2 games (I'm behind the times clearly).


Plus considering their are some young adults who might play today's games or outdated games it kinda makes me wonder if young adults are too old for that or not (but then again sometimes its obvious), my brother is in his early 20's & plays an Xbox one with his friends....I just don't know if their are certain people who are judgemental about others being gammers or not (I've only seen that from Chris Chan videos & it makes me assume I'm too old to be a gammer).

I'm so excited for the Crash Bandicoot game coming out in June. I'm not sure what kind I am. I love the Hatsune Miku games, Disgaea, fighting games (Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street Fighter, BlazBlue, Dead or Alive etc...), I'm not really into shooters unless it's Resident Evil or Borderlands. I love Pokemon. The Sinnoh region is my favorite because Lucario is my favorite Pokemon.

I don't really play a lot of super ultra mega mainstream games. Death Jr. isn't a mainstream game but it's very fun and cute. I grew up playing Mega Man, The Legend of Zelda (Link's Awakening and Wind Waker are my favorites), Mario Party and Kirby.

Aside from those I love LittleBigPlanet, Final Fantasy depending on the game (Tactics Advance and Crisis Core are my favorites). I also grew up playing Heroes of Might and Magic (three and five are the best).

I enjoy more games than those but I will mention just one more...Animal Crossing!

I will be 24 next month and I still play video games. Darkstalkers is amazing!

don’t play a lot, mostly for being busy and tired, but gaming isn’t too uncommon a hobby anymore even for those in their thirties+. it seems mostly either older generations that find gaming an unacceptable hobby, or those that don’t approve of another forgoing their responsibilities to pursue it... but unlike the past, it’s seen a pretty normal interest nowadays, so much so, if an autistic someone says they’re obsessed with games, it’s not likely to be seen an autistic special interest for diagnosis because many people are into them(upon diagnosis at 23, the only reason they counted it was for having written very detailed few hundred page guides to favorite games).

still like the ps3 a bit more than the ps4 simply for having all the “ninja gaiden” games(favorite modern series), all the “devil may cry” games, “borderlands”, “demon’s/dark-souls”, and “fallout: new vegas”, but the ps4 is good too. current ps4 favorites are probably “nioh”, “dead or alive 5: last round”, “devil may cry 4: special edition”, “fallout 4”, “skyrim: special edition”, “minecraft: ps4 edition”, and “borderlands 2: handsome collection”.

A "gammer" is someone who tells tall tales.
If you're "gamming" someone it means you're trying to trick them by talking nonsense.

If someone is into playing video games, they're a gamer, not a gammer.
Unless you're gamming about being a gamer.
