Do you get on better with men or women?

I notice that generally, I get along better with women.
Which I dislike on principle - it shouldn't matter what sex the person is.
Does anyone else tend to get on better with men, women, or both equally? Do you think your own sex, gender, sexuality or culture influences this ease / unease? What is it about the group you get along with better that lacks in the other, and visa versa?

I don't get on well with anyone so it's kind of hard to answer, it kind of depends on situation. I think I prefer to deal with women in a lot of situations and the closest people in my life have been mostly women but usually they're some maternal type figure rather a peer, being 'one of the boys' is something I use to be able to do a lot easier but not so much anymore. I am pretty isolated now, I talk to people online far more than I do IRL at this point.

I would say equally... Only because I had two friends in high school (as in we hung out and talked) and one was girl, the other a boy.

I get along MUCH better with women, mostly because being "masculine" is my least favorite thing to have to fake. (I used to think that ALL men faked it. After all how could anyone naturally act like that?) To my great relief, however, I have met a number of guys who also buck the trend. I still gravitate towards women, though--just seems safer that way.
