I had nocturnal cramp in my legs and lower back which developed over the course of the last three weeks to the extent that I was completely unable to sleep the last two days.

I've since spent two days in Camberidge and the cramp has gone away.

Cause - ever-increasing time on WP (4 hours continuous was the tops - OK I'm a lightweight!)

Cure - two days away from the computer and lots of exercise (the Real Ale Festival products may have helped too).

Now, I've returned, the bug has bitten again, but I've restructed myself to 1 hour per day on WP/AFF (one CDs worth) and hope moderation will work.

PS I've no idea how Sopho and the other prolific posters manage - stronger constitutions perhaps, or a more relaxed gait (I do tense up at some of the stuff I read - including some of my own efforts - humour was never my forte, but I forget)

PPS Why can I not work out the obvious?

Drink fluids with electrolyte sachets. Also bananas are good.

Are your hands cold often? Circle your arms around several times in both directions. You should feel a tingly sensation. Right up to the tip of your fingers.

Thanks O_Equals_True;

I'll try the electrolite thingies, they sound intriguing - am generally stuffed full of coffee (nominally decaffenated) - or wine - and shall do the exercises.

Heat lamp, or one of those chemical pad you heat up in the microwave that you can get from a pet store.

I had a lot of pain from a slipped disk, but I have to say
that eye pain is worse - just not as long lasting.

If I could be as lucid and as concise as you Calandale I could certainly half the time I spend on my currently laborious posts; but then I'd not be me. I'll practice - maybe after 6000 or so posts, I'll get the knack (is it a gift?).

I wish you well with the op R B; and to True_Equals_ practical advice chum (sorry I've forgotten your name - and sorry for bring so forward) for the electrolite whatsits rule, which I'll use for now.

I'm searching out the recliner, it sounds a great idea as I won't stop reading - this site is great! Maybe I'll find someone to pass me the peeled grapes too.
