Yes.

You can use organic coconut oil to brush your teeth.

If you eat it or if it's too minty or a flavor your dislike. When I was young, toothpaste only came in mint, which was irritating for me, but these days toothpaste comes in a variety of flavors. I recommend a children's toothpaste, or if you have bad teeth, you can get a superfluoridated toothpaste from your dentist or with a prescription from your local pharmacy. They tend to be fruit flavored and non irritating because they are supposed to be left in rather than rinsed out immediately.

People can be allergic to an ingredient -- I became allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate in my formerly favorite toothpaste I had used for years. It suddenly began to cause moderately severe swelling and burning to my mouth; it was painful and looked like I'd been in some kind of accident.

I had to switch to a toothpaste that doesn't have that ingredient -- slightly hard to find as it helps with "foaming." Tom's is free of it, and Sensodyne.

The same ingredient is in my shower wash and other products, yet doesn't seem to cause a reaction to the rest of my body, just my mouth.

I can't use products with peppermint / menthol flavor as it makes me nauseated. But I can't use fruity flavors either as aromas in general disgust me. Right now using this one:

It has a very slight, spicy flavor that I love and it's not expensive.

If the tail of the toothpaste tube has a black thing on it it's totally artificial and so I try not to use that kind... green is good, it's all natural, blue is natural with medicine, red is natural and artificial.
