I was waiting at a red light, and it started to rain. A guy (passenger) got out of the car in front of me, took off his shirt, and started cheering and dancing. Then he ran around the car before going back inside. I figured he was from the desert.

What are some odd things you’ve seen on the road?

Pretty much the only things I keep an eye out for on the road is signs and the local scenery if out of town. So I'd have to say the weirdest things I've seen are unusual or pre-Worboys signs. That and a dead badger on the motorway once :(

I lead a very boring life.

One time, when I was a kid, while driving down-home, my mother and I saw a dog, who had gotten his head stuck in a big plastic jar (restaurant kitchen-size for mayonnaise, for instance), cross the road and almost get hit. My mother turned the car around, and we found him, and removed the jar----then, I prayed all-night that someone wouldn't see his red eyes and think he was rabid, and put him down.

Maybe he was a farmer and was happy that the drought was over.

Nah. We are currently in the rainy season. For months, I don’t think a week has gone by without raining.

A house on the highway. We used to go on family vacations a lot in the US and frequently saw homes on the highway back in the early 90s. My dad would drive so slow that even a house would pass him on the highway. :D

I once saw a car towing behind what looked like a giant plastic pineapple that was at least as tall as a person. I wish I had a picture. My friend and I joked that it was Spongebob's house, and he was leaving town.

I'm another who has seen a house being towed along a road. My sighting was at some crazy time like 2 in the morning!

I was taking a late night walk as I couldn't sleep or just got back from somewhere, and as I wandered around the block there was this house being towed, much like the picture above, but at night. I guess they were hoping to avoid holding up too much traffic, as there was none at that time.

Driving out of San Antonio a few years back, I was amazed to see a Road Runner crossing the road! Until that moment I thought it was an invented cartoon character like Donald Duck is :)

That sighting was one of the best highlights in that drive from Florida to California (with detours here and there over several weeks).

I've done a lot of road traveling in my lifetime so I've seen some pretty weird things.

Like a neighborhood where the fire hydrants that were all painted like different cartoon characters, which was pretty cool.

Around the holidays there will be an occasional tree growing wild with Christmas decorations on it.

One time when I was younger I saw what looked like the painted outlines of three human bodies on the pavement . My brother said they were put there as a prank.

In one nearby town there was a hair salon named Curl Up and Dye.

There was a sign on the street nearby for Electrolux vacuum cleaners that said "Nothing sucks like Electrolux".

But that but that photo of the deer and the get-well balloon is pretty sick. No pun intended.

Houses or dongers are a common sight on the roads here.
We also have huge road trains of up to three trailers, usually hauling cattle. You don't want to drive too closely behind them. We've seen a few cars get sluiced in cow urine after following the cattle train too closely up a hill.
Occasionally you will see huge fish skeletons strung up on signs in fishing areas.
I have also seen dead kangaroos posed in fold up chairs with a tinny, or propped up and wearing a Santa hat.
Some people have a sick sense of humour.

I seen a house getting towed a few times. I also seen people dressed really fancy in a horse & carriage on a major highway.

In a store parking lot I saw a car with troll dolls glued all over the hood.Lots of 'em.
A sick elk.
A huge bra laying in the middle of the highway.
Armadillo dead on its back holding a beer can.
Jiggles the local ho walking on the highway looking for a ride to the booze store. The employees told me sometimes she'd be there waiting for them to open. She was drumming up business in the parking lot but they ran her off.She has a powerful thirst.
