Why do my friends treat me this way?

2 of my friends who work in a care home for People with dementia always want too be with me on nights out in public at all times. The guy who works in the care home on nights out always insists on being with me even when I go too the restroom in the bar.

Can you give me your guesses on why they treat me this way? And yes they do know I have autism.


Uronicley both of my friends have high functioning autism.

Because they are dependent on your company. They're very lonely people.

4 years ago 2 of my old job coaches would think I need assistance doing simple things such as stacking shelves in places like Costco etc.... I remember when I met one of my job coaches for the first time she asked me "did you need a carer with you on the way too see me?" A bit insulting given the fact I can find my way around the city of London without a map.

That could be my fault because I was open about being mentally ill.
