I've said in quite a few of my other posts that I hate my loud obnoxious neighbors and I can't wait to move away from them. My lease doesn't end until April next year though so if I wanted to leave I'd have to break my lease. Is this worthwhile? I don't have a copy of my contract handy but I remember it saying something to the effect of them charging me the entirety of all my remaining rent payments until my lease would run out all at once. Can they really do that?

I think they can charge you cuz lots of places have those terms in their contracts including me & my girlfriend's place. However they may allow you to break your lease if you talk to them about the problems your having & give them advance notice of when you'll be leaving.

They're aware of the problem but the fact that they've refused to intervene tells me they don't care. Ergo they probably won't accept that as an excuse for me breaking lease early.
