I love the smell of barbeque, but some people say it stinks. In the gas station, I kinda like the smell, although not as much as barbeque. I know most people hate that smell.

I like both, also with a preference for barbecue/smoke (not tobacco smoke, though, I think that smells nasty - charcoal or wood smoke). Another unpopular smell I like is fresh paint.

I have always loved the smell of gasoline. When I was a kid, whenever my I was with my mom when she filled gasoline on the car, I would inhale the scent.
Once I was on a bus and it started smelling of fuel inside the bus. All the other passengers complained about it, while I smiled.

The grills our neighbors have used for barbecue stunk.

I kinda like the smell of cigarette smoke, the smoke from a grill, and the smell of matches. I just don't like inhaling it.

I really like the smell of food that's bbq'd, but I have never liked the nauseating stench of gasoline. I don't like gasoline, period. It is a highly flammable, dangerous toxic substance that is bad for the environment and powers those terrible and dangerous things known as cars. But eventually there won't be any more gasoline and of course "they" are never going to let the public have cars that run on a replacement substance, especially one that is safe and reusable, just like they'll never let us have driverless cars. :x

That's actually the smell of ozone that comes down from the atmosphere just before it rains. Or that's what a grown up told me when I was a kid. I like that smell too when I was a kid. Arent really aware of it much now as a grown up.

i like to walk up to the grille of my car after a long drive and take a big whiff...AHHHHH! that's the stuff!

and in the morning, after a cold start and the ECU runs the engine rich for a while while it warms up and small leaks release fuel fumes into the air, mmm.

though i prefer the diesel smell, myself.

barbecues are also excellent.
