How do you ship USPS flat rate boxes?

It has a spot on front that says to and from, do I fill that out? But the spot also has an outline for a label that’d cover the to and from, do I go to post office and tell them the address and they print a label out?
Trying to ship pat birthday gift and Christmas gift to my friend.
