My son calls me on his cellphone from his dorm and occasionally (I'm on a land-line phone) we get static and in the static I hear two young men chuckling but here is where it gets weird - it sounds like that all the time as if the static is bringing forth a recording of two young men chuckling. Other times, my phone would ring and I would hear what sounded like chairs being dragged across a floor but each time the sound was identical - I know this because I'm aspie - I pick up on patterns of sounds real well. No one would say anything as I repeatedly would ask "Hello" Who is this? I would end up hanging up. Another time, someone must have recorded my brother's voice saying, Hello? who's speaking. This person calls my phone and plays this into my answering machine. It a prank but it scares the crap out of me. I always end up calling my brother and he's always fine.
