So a few days ago, I saw a bunch of planes flying in a direction that went over my aparment, and probably the whole city. It was quite late perhaps early hours of the morning, can't recall what time it was, but a line of planes flew over...they were all going kind of slow but had the flashing lights of airplanes so this isn't some UFO thing, just a bunch of regular planes flying over....but there were at least 20 that flew in a straight line, one after another over where I live, it may have been more. So does anyone know why that many planes would be traveling in a straight line together like that? tried looking up on the internet if anyone else local had seen this but didn't find anything, either way it did seem weird...I have never seen that before.
Google has this to say:

According to a military spokesperson, the lights actually belonged to a convoy of C-17 aircraft that were involved in an exercise. CBS Denver was told the planes were headed from South Carolina to Nevada and back.
Aviation expert Steve Cowell says the planes were flying in a formation that is commonly seen in military exercises.
"That was the echelon formation. In other words, they were all lined up in a row," Cowell said. "It is not uncommon to have these types of planes in formation, especially at night. Often times, you will see them doing this, especially when they are doing training flights, or standard cross country procedure."
