The New Year

I hope 2018 is BETTER than this year. ALOT of bad things been happening. I have two resolution, I want to move out of my apartment & lose weight.

I hope so too.

I want to lose weight and continue finding myself my first job in 2018.

ugh. property taxes due. income taxes due. car tabs due. house insurance bill due. insects to come. sweaty heat to come. lord knows what travails the new year will throw at us. scary.

Pay off my truck and save up for the down payment that will be going towards investment property.

People don't change so the new year won't, either. There will be just as much terror and stupidity and greed and war as there was in the old year, only worse.

So have a new year. Not a happy one, just a new year.

when I watch the ball drop and see all those vapid bozos insipidly shouting "happy new year!" I wanna scream at them, "WHAT'S SO G*DD*MNED HAPPY ABOUT IT FOR CHR*ST'S SAKE??! !"

Ever since I was a small child I knew that the "New Year" is meaningless; a completely arbitrary point upon an endless continuum, and that the real "New Year" as far as inhabitants of this planet are concerned is actually the morning after the Winter Solstice.

I'm going to be brave and get my routine physical this year. Skipped it last year (coward!) Having some symptoms that should be checked out, and not ignored.

The only thing I care about in the new year is that the 1st of January is also a Monday. I don't know why this feels so very important and satisfying to me, but I've been happy about it for months.

You're doing better than I am. Lol...I have no idea what resolutions I want to make.

I resolve to take up space more efficiently

I don't find anything happy about the New Year. I wish that it would stay Christmas for ever. I guess that I'll have to keep myself busy and occupied so that December comes around quickly again. I'll also keep super focused on saving my money as well, so I don't have to think about the New Year.

Although I did appreciate my parents inviting me over for their traditional New Year supper today, with my mom's amazing glazed ham and her marvelous apple cobbler with french vanilla ice cream, all I can really think of is what horrors await us this year in this terrible world. It was like trying to enjoy your last meal before the execution. Between the nukes and the climate change, we're doomed as a species. It never changes, it never gets better. I wish I could go into hibernation. In a bunker. For the next 5 years.
