I could get the basic colours, but sorting them into hues was incredibly difficult.

It's like doing a jigsaw puzzle blue sky. It should be smooth, so you replace the pieces until none stands out.

It's beautiful. I got 97 and my eyes got tired though.

I like these sort of tests, got full marks, it's just a case of going what feels "off" . Iy's funny I can't really describe what's correct, but instantly pick up on ones that are wrong.

I scored 96% for the colour bars. I only just realised that the f.lux colour adjuster program on my PC will be switched on now, so I don't know if that might have affected it a little bit - my colour matching chart was perfect except for a spike in the orange/red region. I've done a lot of painting and photography over the years, and I seem to spot compression artefacts in JPEG images easily, so I guessed I would be reasonably good at it.

I struggled like hell with the naming part of it though. I never had any formal instruction for my painting, and I do often struggle to picture colours when people only refer to them by name.

Was I supposed to answer pink/blue/etc. or fuchsia/navy/etc.? I did the first and now I'm wondering if I did it wrong...

I got 94. The blues were my downfall.

I had the same question... started with the latter, then got lazy and switched to the former. I guess they are testing corelation between the number of color names you used and your score.

I got the impression from what was written at the end that those bits were for their learning.

In the comments section at the end of the quiz, I basically asked them the same thing that you two were wondered. They need to phrase it better as I couldn't understand if they just wanted a simple, I suppose Rainbow, naming of the colours or whether they wanted you to go more detail, like a Dulux paint naming level.

I suppose it means there is no wrong answer, but I don't know how useful it would be to them as I also started trying to be quite specific, but switched to general naming at the end to speed it up!

Sounds like they're just going to get really inconsistent results from everybody.

This is annoying me way more than it should. I just hate when people are vague. My inner perfectionist wants to do everything right and I can't do that if you don't tell me what it is I'm supposed to be doing.

I know! I don't normally bother answering any way to improve questions, but I was very certain in what I found confusing

I wonder if there was something early on I missed, but clearly they just need to add a line or two to help make it clear.
