Was she trying too get me into trouble?

I tried too post this on social skills forum but havent got any responds yet.

Sometimes when i am shopping around town or go cycling i see these 2 sisters i know from my social group walking together.

Apparently the eldest sister said too one of my friends that i "followed her home".

I would never follow her home but do you think she was trying too get me into trouble by saying that about me?

It's because people have nothing better to do with their time than spread lies and gossip. Flakes love to try to destroy the reputations of unique individuals as well.
