I'm not just talking on a personal level, but do you fear for the future of the world and humanity? Like myself, many people today have an unfavorable outlook on the future. Many millennials and young people have fears about climate change, technology taking over everything, financial security, mental health problems, and many other things. Within the next 20-30 years, nearly 70 million jobs are expected to be replaced by robots and automation. More and more people are choosing not to have kids because they don't have high hopes for the future. Do any of you feel this way or do you think we are moving in the right direction?

Yes and no.

I think more of a curiosity. I am intrigued at what effect long-term today's actions will cause, such as Trump pulling out of the climate change thing and the development of technologies like VR/AR and remote access (home security ect).

I'm actually very disappointed to know that I won't be around to see how we advance through the centuries and the possibility that we may make alien contact. Those kind of things excite me. I would love to know what will be the ultimate cause of extinction to the human race would be, or even the kind of beings we may become other than human (through evolution ect).

I have fears about the future. How high will the sea levels rise? How long will it be before robots take over all of our jobs. Are Canada and the US doomed if clowns keep getting elected?

I fear we have reached a critical mass of sociopathic types running things, we can't keep going on with these massive levels of systemic corruption at all levels, something's got to give, and I fear that I will live long enough to see the chickens coming home to roost.

Yeah.. the world is way more super f****d than most people realize. All we can do is our personal best to have fun and stay healthy and limit and damage we do to the earth etc. Make the most of it.. it's all we can do.

Yes and no; for most of the reasons you realize, but then I see that things may not be as bad as it seems.

I fear for the future of Britain. The way everything's being cut back or scrapped frightens me; schools, police, the NHS...

In 30 years time, the crime rate will be even worse than it already is because of the lack of police officers, there will be kids running amok around the streets more because of the education cutbacks, and only rich people will afford medical care. It's scary. Why is the UK government doing this?

Yeah I fear that the western world is loosing its freedoms the thing that made us great in the first place, the growing police state. I fear what will happen when the Welfare/Pension Ponzi scheme eventually collapses and how those who are dependant by design will react. I fear the growing Muslim population in Europe and how they will start asserting themselves more politically and socially as their numbers grow.
