I so so nearly went to hell even faster. Someone posted on Facebook "Just lost my gran" and had to stop myself asking if they have checked down the back of the sofa.

Is this an autistic thing, or a terrible human being thing?

That made me laugh.

I posted a thread once that a lot of times a reply comes to me that's so awful I would get instantly banned if I posted it.

People are just so quick to avoid use of the word "dead" or "death", even or especially when someone close to them dies. So when people say they lost a relative, it kind of sounds like they really are just lost and that there's a chance they might be found, but there isn't. Death is forever.

In a sitcom the audience likely would be laughing hysterically, but in real life it would be seen as cruel, even if it made me laugh a little.

good that you realized on time

I also understand everything literally at first, it is quite typical aspie.
Sometimes it is funny but in this case, it would have been annoying...

Most of people say I have dark humour... although it is not true.

Actually, I just usually understand literally at first.
It is only when other people laugh that I understand that I misunderstood. Then I pretend it was a joke, and laugh to save face.

Maybe it is an Aspie trait then ? but I definitely have dark humour maybe due to understanding literally first.

A lot of NTs are into dark humor. Maybe more so than ever because a lot of things are less taboo than they once were.
