Many many many many many years ago, I saw a band in a sh***y Rotherham (England) pub. A band I knew the name of, and their sound. And I was lucky enough to manage to grab the water bottle the lead singer was drinking from and get it signed by the whole band!

Fast forward about 5+ years and I had completely forgot the name of this band. Frustrated I kept looking at the signed bottle of Evian, trying to prompt my memory. As time went on, I ended up owning a signed bottle of Evian of a band that I didn't know of anymore, and the whole thing was a massive mystery.

At a time of wanting to get rid of crap that I didn't need, I made the decision to list the signed bottle on eBay, still not knowing who it was signed by.

That bottle is now long gone. And still, many years later I have tried so hard to figure out who that band was to no avail.

I have just cracked the code. It was Rachel Stamp. Who, apparently, are still going. And i sold the f'king signed water bottle that David Ryder Prangley himself drank out of. I'm a f'king tw@t.

I hate how bad my memory is!! I can't believe i did that.

I'm only thinking about it now because i just came across images of the bottle in question that i used when selling it

I once got given a can of beer by a guitarist from one of my favourite bands at a gig but because I was drunk I just opened it , drank it and tossed the can , I wish I kept it

My first "boyfriend" had a t-shirt, on the back Brett Anderson drew a line right down the spine and wrote "do you believe in love there." Sweden in the 90s was incredible for getting backstage to huge acts.

I'm taking pictures of my mementoes, because they work just as well and are much more portable. I was recently quite amused to finally figure out that the Stan Rogers who punched me in high school over a girl was the same one I'd been listening to. I hadn't fought back, and I'd heard that he'd gone into the clergy. He wasn't popular at 15.

As for me, I would be thrilled to meet Denis Istomin and have him autograph my tennis racquet. I use the same brand, Tecnifibre, as he does. I am not an autograph seeker, per se, but I really would love to meet Denis and tell him how he inspired me.

I'd also be angry at myself if I sold something like that on E-Bay.

If it's any consolation I've never heard of any of those people or their band so they can't really be that famous.. maybe just a little local hometown fame??

Also, if I had a crystal ball and never sold some stocks I used to own I'd be a multi Millionaire right now.. but oh well, we can't change the past nor what we bought or sold. That's life and it goes on.
