Can someone explain to me 'Pintrest'

All i see is a site where people 'like' images and create a space to store these images that they like.

But that sounds far too simple and boring for the amount of people that actually use Pintrest.

So... what is it for really?

Yes, to me it's a place to store interesting images without taking up memory space.

I think to a lot of people it's social media without actually having to create anything at all. Select some images and text that you feel represent your personality, put together in a collage. Feels like taking part, but with minimal effort and zero actual exposure.

Pinterest is there to destroy your Google Image Search results =)

I hate when I find a really good image, but it's on Pinterest, so I can't blow it up, or save it, or even find the context of where it came from.

I use it to save crafty things like ideas for knitting or art or home decor projects.

I also use it to save recipes so that ive got somewhere to go to to find recipes without staving them to my laptop, phone or having to print them out.

It's got me beat too.
Every time I go to Pinterest I end up going around in circles.
I imagined that there would be tutorials...or something...other than nothing.
But there's not.
