Is this common sense?

Alright say you live in an apartment, the back door opens to a small patio occupied by the two smallest units of the building. There is an entire yard plus the front of the building with a bit of a yard and a parking lot. Your neighbors who live in one of these small units has the sliding door open with the screen closed to let some air in because its hot.

Would you say its probably rude to hang out next to that apartment door with your phone volume on loud, listening to music or whatever else? I think so, some girl who lives in the apartment above mine apparently doesn't seem to think so though, its been the second time my boyfriends told her to knock it off essentially(Its hard for me to confront people even a teenager I guess). Plus I just hate the sound of phone speakers, its a little bit of a sensory issue I think.

I sympathise - that kind of thing drives my sound sensitivity nuts, too. But even without autistic sensitivities, I think it's just good neighbourliness to consider the folks living around you - so, yes, common sense. If a neighbour lets me know in advance that they're having a celebration or doing some DIY, fair enough, I'll tolerate it once in a while - but not just assuming that you can inflict your sound pollution on everyone whenever you feel like it (I'm sure that antisocial volume levels are inversely correlated with taste in music, but maybe that's just me!)
