How do you feel about the Wyf of Bath's tale? I found it funny when I took it in college.

1. I did a paper on Chaucer's Nun Priest's Tale for my Medieval Literature course.

2. I did a paper on "Ode to a Grecian Urn" by John Keats.

3. I really got into James Joyce's "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" in my early-to-mid 20's.

Have you read "Piers Plowman," Red?

1. I read the line: "Withouten any spot." within the "black pearl" poem.

2. I read "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

3. I read "Paradise Lost" by Milton all the way through.

What I think of re: James Joyce, is that my Modern Brit Lit class was at night and I had to walk home in the pitch dark.
The room smelled like lemons and my chair squeaked.
I was in that classroom on the night of the Montréal massacre, which really messed me up.

Sonny Charles sang on "Black Pearl" in 1969. His group was called "the Checkmates." For a while, they played it quite a bit on the radio.

I wonder if he was inspired by the "black pearl" poem written in the 14th century.

I also like Dylan Thomas's Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog.

I hardly read "Paradise Lost" at all. I've read a few lines here and there.

One day, I'd like to read the Bible and the Divine Comedy all the way through.

I remember the title Piers Ploughman, and I know I read it, but I can't remember it or who wrote it. I almost failed a class over Gawain and the Green Knight.
