You're like a REAL literary fellow, Redxk.

How do you feel about the Wyf of Bath's tale? I found it funny when I took it in college.

1. I did a paper on Chaucer's Nun Priest's Tale for my Medieval Literature course.

2. I did a paper on "Ode to a Grecian Urn" by John Keats.

3. I really got into James Joyce's "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" in my early-to-mid 20's.

Nope. 1. I am definitely not a gun guy.

My username is short for Redcrosse Knight, the hero of Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene.

OH! I read that! Very nice!
I'm glad you aren't a gun guy.

I used to want to be like him. I wanted to win literary prizes like he did. And be as smart as he was.

I didn't care that he was "socially awkward." I didn't give two craps about that.

I confess I've never read it all the way through, but I've read Wuthering Heights many times!

Have you read "Piers Plowman," Red?

1. I read the line: "Withouten any spot." within the "black pearl" poem.

2. I read "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

3. I read "Paradise Lost" by Milton all the way through.

Here's my Isabellan synesthesia:
What I think of re: James Joyce, is that my Modern Brit Lit class was at night and I had to walk home in the pitch dark.
The room smelled like lemons and my chair squeaked.
I was in that classroom on the night of the Montréal massacre, which really messed me up.

Sonny Charles sang on "Black Pearl" in 1969. His group was called "the Checkmates." For a while, they played it quite a bit on the radio.

I wonder if he was inspired by the "black pearl" poem written in the 14th century.

Yes, the Wife of Bath is a formidable woman. The butt kissing scene is the best!

1. "Soul Makossa," by Manu Dibango, was a 1960s song.

2. "Pledge of Love" by the Joe Jeffrey Band was a 1960s song.

3. "Pata Pata," by Miriam Makeba was a 1960s song.

I pity you. Lol. I gave up on Paradise Lost but it was good. I always thought SG should be made into a Disney cartoon movie.

Your lie is 2

I hardly read "Paradise Lost" at all. I've read a few lines here and there.

One day, I'd like to read the Bible and the Divine Comedy all the way through.

You did not read Paradise Lost all the way through-3.

I remember the title Piers Ploughman, and I know I read it, but I can't remember it or who wrote it. I almost failed a class over Gawain and the Green Knight.
