My Autism effects me a lot, I am very smart, I have a fair chance of being Independent, I have very repetitive behaviors, I have social dysfunctions, I have very intense obsessions, I have difficulties in communicating verbally, I have poor social skills, It's hard for me to understand subtle things. Do you think this is Mild or Moderate Autism?

You sound like me except for the being smart part & being independent part(being dependent is mostly due to other disabilities than autism thou) & I have Aspergers so I would say you have high functioning autism.

Enough with the functioning labels! When people are labeled as "low functioning" or "severe", their abilities get ignored, and when they are labeled "high functioning" or "mild", their needs get ignored.

The use of functioning labels on WP needs to stop.

In Britain, you sound to have Aspergers. Not sure what the US call us anymore.

I think functioning labels are the one way go around because if you are mild Autistic your needs are not met but if you are severe Autistic your abilities are not seen.
