Oooh, I hope I'm starting what will become another long-running thread! :D

So, what odd thing occurred to you today/in the last few days?

This happened last week, but I was at work looking at something on the wall and reading it out loud, and somebody came nearer to me and asked "Are you singing?" I kinda stammered out "I'm reading that...", pointing at it. She said, "Oh, it sounded like you were singing." I don't have a sing-song voice or anything, so I have no idea how it sounded like that?!

A recent threat of suicide that turned out to be nothing more than the alleged victim trying to see who would respond, and when confronted with his own words to that effect, he became abusive and insulting.

What the fudge, judge? All that he accomplished was to add to the false stereotype that all threats of suicide are mere ploys for attention, thus endangering the lives of those who are genuinely contemplating suicide!

Yes. This morning on the way to work listening to the radio. I will often comment out loud to myself/the radio of it feels warranted.

The sad Toronto shooting incident. Sound bite from the mayor was something like: "Unfortunately too many guns are in the wrong hands of people." I yelled at the radio: "Yeah, they're called CRIMINALS! !!" You know, the ones that will, um, never obey any law including capital crimes if they decide to commit such crimes.

That was my WTF this morning.

Laws do not prevent criminals from committing crimes.

Thus we have the demand for more laws to control (e.g., eliminate) the legal and responsible possession of firearms.

A bunch of strange people were hanging around my car last Saturday. I don't know what they were doing. It made me feel really weird.

We're having a heat wave here, it has lasted since May. There is concern about how the water level being low and as a result there have been restrictions on washing cars and watering lawns. BUT in order for Norway Cup to go off as usual, they have planted an rapidly growing grass type that they have been watering generously. Farmers see their crops die, they won't have enough fodder for their livestock over winter, and if we won't see rains soon it will affect our drinking water as well. But heaven forbid a GD sports arrangement for kids will be anything less than perfect! The holy cow sports is so much more important than drinking water, showering and brushing our teeth and using water for cooking! What the flying fudge!!?

For the first time, I actually saw skunks outside instead of just smelling the evidence they had been there!

One of my neighbors seems to have 'found' some illegal firework mortars last night, and decided to light them off one by one at 09:57 ... 10:33 ... 11:15 ... 11:49 ...

According to some stupid YouTube video the vertical ridges I have on my fingernails are a sign that my entire nervous system is shot.

(Which has caused my nerves to suffer even more)

I was rudely awoken by a large black spider that crawled down from the ceiling, crawled down my face and across my chest. in a somnolent but alarmed blur I jumped up and flushed it down the toilet. in retrospect I wished I had let it outside but the primitive part of my brain was dominant at that time.

I was in a reboard line at a Greyhound station a couple days ago & the guy in front of me suddenly said to me angrily, "Could you stop blowing on the back of my head". I said, "I'm sorry i wasn't aware I was". I don't see how I could of been because he was a few feet in front of me & I don't recall ever being accused of something like that before. I was just breathing. I turned my head to the side so my face wasn't aimed at his head just incase anyways thou. The AC was on in the building & had a slight breeze so perhaps that's what he felt. Thinking about it alittle more, I guess there's a chance I was breathing heavy because I may of been congested but I still find it odd that he'd be able to feel it. Oh well whatever

Fundamentalist Christians on YouTube who believe logos to American fast food products and playing cards are satanic and a sign of the end times. And that so many people believe them. 8O
